Barstool Sports restaurant to open in downtown Nashville

NASHVILLE, Tennessee (WSMV) – Digital media company Barstool Sports will open a new restaurant and bar in downtown Nashville sometime in 2023.

According to the secretary of state’s website, the company will open at 123 Second Ave South, the former site of Joe’s Crab Shack, which closed in September after nearly 20 years in business. Business documents also show that Barstool Nashville will have its headquarters in Brentwood.

Internet mogul David Portnoy founded the national Barstool Sports brand in 2003, with roots in many major cities. The partnership with Music City began with the Barstool Nashville online community.
