Align Technology (Nasdaq:ALGN) announced the availability of its latest iTero-exocad connector software.
Tempe, Arizona-based Align designed the iTero-exocad connector software for digital orthodontics and restorative dentistry. It integrates the iTero intraoral camera and NIRI images in exocad DentalCAD 3.1 Rijeka software. The company introduced it yesterday at the exocad Insights 2022 event in Mallorca, Spain.
According to the press release, this integration supports the goal of a seamless, end-to-end workflow for physicians and lab technicians. The company says it optimizes the design and manufacture of highly aesthetic restorations. This allows dental professionals to visualize the internal and external structure of the teeth.
Using this software, laboratory technicians can download files through the software. They can then design in the exocad DentalCAD platform with just one click.

Align activated the iTero-exocad connector version yesterday, October 3, 2022. Once activated, it can be used by anyone using an iTero Element 5D imaging system and exocad 3.1 Rijeka CAD/CAM software.
